I have had several responses to the Johnston family from Columbus, Georgia who is also connected somehow to Johnstons in Auburn, Al and Charleston, S.C. Several years ago I purchased a small hand held album from an antique store in Florida. It was falling apart. It contained 14 pictures however. I am assuming that all of the people are Johnstons. I am going by the inscription found on the first page. I would like to give these pictures to the right family. My best guess is that most of the pictures are from the 1870's and 80's, with at least one being from the turn of the century or maybe 1910 or 1920. The inscription reads as follows. Maggie Johnston's Album Presented by her cousin B.M. Harvey, April the 20th, 1873. The backs of the pictures are imprinted with the names of studios in those cities.
