    3. Hi John, Am fine. Retired 5 years ago, play golf almost every day, and am leaving for my fishing camp at Toledo Bend Reservoir tomorrow for a few days. Doesn't get any better than that, except my golf game keeps getting worse. Researching Johnsons and Smiths I quess you are used to it, but trying to pin down a John Bailey is really frustrating. I also have a Thomas Bailey. As you probably know, there are four Baileys listed in the 1830 Houston County, Ga. census. They are Philip, John, Bryant, and Thomas. Philip is my 4th gf b. 1760-1769, place unknown, but he was in NC ca. 1793 because his daughter Louisa was born there at that time. John b. 1800-1809 in Ga., place unknown, is Philip's son I believe. He married Martha Powell and I can not spefically identify him after that. Bryant b. 1806 in Ga., place unknown is also Philip's son and my 3rd gf. He married Teresa or Clarissa Johnston. Thomas b. 1770-1779, place unknown and I believe he is Philip's brother, but no proof. He may have married a Peggy. There are no Baileys in the 1840 Houston census, and there are Baileys in the 1829 Houston Tax List who are not in the 1830 census. I am stuck at Philip. I do not know what to make of the Frances McKinnon Johnston in the 1880 Randolph census. The 1850 Randolph census says my Frances is female Will send you my John timeline which is a listing of all John Bailey info I have accumulated. This is a listing of all John Baileys, and not necessarily my John Bailey. Sending separately because it is at My Documents which often locks up causing me to lose my message. It's been a long time. I'm still trying to get a line on John Bailey. I think I have him in the 1850 census for Early County, GA and definately in the 1860 census for Quitman, Co. I think he might have been killed in the war or afterward. I have his wife and family Mary Adelaide Howard Bailey in the 1870 census for Randolph County. I'll post what little I have below in case it rings a bell. John R. Johnson */Descendants of John Bailey/* /Generation No. 1/ *1.* JOHN^1 BAILEY was born Abt. 1822 in GA. He married ADLADE MARY //.
