I would like to know anything about this family, especially the names of William's parents and if William remarried and when & where he died. William Johnson was born abt 1885 in Wildwood, Dade, GA. He married Clara Alma Davenport abt 1907. Clara (or Alma as she was known) was born 13 Jul 1891 in Whitfield Co., GA. She died 22 Dec 1969 in Chattanooga, Hamilton, TN and was buried 24 Dec 1969 in Chattanooga Memorial Park. Alma's parents were William D. Davenport (a Baptist preacher) and Margaret Ramey. Bill and Alma had two children: 1. Elsie Caldonia was born 24 Jun 1908 in St. Louis, St. Louis, MO. She died 15 Jun 1988 in Chattanooga, Hamilton, TN and was buried 17 Jun 1988 in Hamilton Memorial Gardens in Chattanooga, TN. She married #1 Roy James in 1930 and had one son, Harland W. She married #2 Clarence Capehart. 2. Lee Edward was born 22 Jun 1910/11 in Tunnel Hill, Whitfield, GA. He died 11 Jun 1940 in Chattanooga, Hamilton, TN and was buried 12 Jun 1940 in Fryar Cemetery, Tiftona, Hamilton, TN. He married Mary Elizabeth Lawson 19 Aug 1934 in Catoosa Co., GA. Family stories say that Alma separated from "Bill" when she was pregnant with Lee Edward. Bill may or may not have remained in St. Louis, MO. He was a brickmaker, it's said. Alma divorced Bill and married Roscoe Massey. They had two daughters, Margaret and Dee, who were adopted out. Alma divorced Roscoe and married Richard Alexander Monds on 18 Oct 1919 in Wauhatchie, Hamilton, TN. Richard was born 7 Oct 1880. He died 28 Aug 1946 and was buried in Fryar Cemetery in Tiftona, Hamilton, TN. They had eight children: 1. Clarence Richard was born 1 Mar 1920 in Hamilton Co., TN. He died 9 Mar 1960 and is buried in the National Cemetery in TN. He married #1 Wava Dawn Purdham 23 Jun 1956 in Chattanooga, Hamilton, TN. He married #2 Helen Junita Kibler. 2. Mary Catherine was born 1 Feb 1922 in Chattanooga, Hamilton, TN. She died 3 Jul 1922 in Chattanooga, Hamilton, TN and is buried in Fryar Cemetery in Tiftona, Hamilton, TN. 3.
