Most of my Watkins folks migrated from NC to SC, then to GA. Some of them could end up in IL. If you would like to visit my website (I have Smiths, too): http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~grizzard/watkins.htm Recently, I developed "Surname Index" for all of the descendants of Joseph Watkins (Sr.) for my own use. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~grizzard/watkins690.htm Check it out. Thanks for writing. Lois PS I only estimated Hannah's age to be 1777. What if she was born in 1770? That, I will never know. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jack M Smith" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, October 16, 2006 3:03 PM Subject: Re: [JOHNSON] Hannah Johnson > Lois, > > I missed your previous posts On Hannah. My James Johnson born abt 1800 in Charlotte VA, migrated to Surry and Stokes County, NC where he married Catherine Savage. They moved to Grainger County TN around 1825. I cannot find any info on his parents or sibblings. Your John and my James may be connected. Please keep the list informed if you find the link to John and Hannah...they may be important to my line as well.
