Looking for any information or leads on my brick wall. Jesse Johnson born 20 August 1828 in Virginia (info from census). Married Margaret Cofer in VA, and moved to Guilford, NC before 1867. He died in Guilford Co, NC and is buried in Deep River Friends Cemetery. I do not believe that he was Quaker. He was reportedly encouraged to move to NC to help set up mills to produce cloth to make military uniforms. Had seven children 1. Andrew F. Johnson, born Isle of Wight, VA 1859 2. George Johnson, born Isle of Wight, VA 1857 3. Luema Johnson, born Isle of Wight, VA 1863 4. Margaret Johnson, born NC 1867 5. Virginia Johnson, born NC 1869 6. Anna Johnson, born NC 1875 7. Ethel Johnson, born NC 1878 I cannot find any information that would lead me to Jesse's parents. I found another Jesse in Isle of Wight, VA about the same time period but he has a different wife and children and he never moved to NC. I am hoping that someone will recognize one of the names of his children other than Andrew F. Johnson, my great-grandfather. Thanks for reading, Linda
