Hi List, I again approach the list for information. My data is very limited abd seems to be at a stop. I am seeking information on Norman Huff Johnson, Sr. born in North Carolina in 1880, to parents unknown. I looked for many years for a Johnson/Huff marriage to account for his middle name and finally came up with one in Kentucky. The time frame is marginally acceptable but the location is out of line. Norman attended Law school in Warrington Co. North Carolina and pracriced Law in Richmond, Va. He was married to Alice Baird in Blacksburg, South Carolina in 1907, and after the birth of two children the marriage ended in a bitter divorce. It has been stated that he was from a disfunctional family but there is no way of knowing that as I do not know who his parents were or where they were from. It is noteworthy that his son, Norman, Jr. claimed Rocky Mount as home but I have been unable to prove that. It was stated that Norman, Sr. died in New York of TB in 1943. That also I have been unable to prove as I have been unable to locate his death. It has also been suggested that he may have died in France but I have been unable to find travel outside the U. S.
