Hey Melissa and Alli, With that name Ballard I wonder if he isn't connected to one of several Ballard lines that came from Virginia. That is where my Edwin Ballard Jinkins got his middle name...<g>. You might like to check with folks on the Ballard mail list. Someone there might have a connection for you. Take care - Emma In a message dated 2/9/2006 9:25:54 P.M. Thanks Emma, I have no idea where the name could have come from I can't seem to find William anywhere. He died in 1915 but the location is unknown & I haven't found him in Mo. where his parents & older brother (James Jefferson Johnson) was born or in Illinois where he was supposedly born. LOL Maybe someday :) Alli http://geocities.com/eaglewhowatches/ saddles & baby furniture for sale Indep.
