Hi, I am researching a James Johnson who supposedly married a Matilda Fears, a daughter of William Fears and Susanna White. James Johnson married Matilda Fears 1 Feb 1821 in Lawrence County, AL. I do not have a primary source for this marriage. I can find a James Johnson in the 1830 Lawrence County, AL census. I can also find a James Johnson in the 1840 Lawrence County, AL. James Johnson is on the same page as an A. (Archibald) Livingston, a William Fears, and a H.J. (Hansford J.) Fears. I believe all these individuals have a connection to William Fears and Susanna White. Does anyone know what happen to this couple, James and Matilda Johnson, in 1850? Thanks for your time.
