    1. John W. Johnson
    2. Alma Johnson
    3. My husbands great grandfather was John W. Johnson born 1834-1835 in SC. He appeared in Madison, Florida sometime in the mid 1850's as he married Phebe Sapp in Jan. 1859 in Madison County, Florida. We believe he traveled to Madison with a Marshall Johnson family (Marshall was a deaf mute so noted on the 1860 census for Madison, Fla.) We found Marshall Johnson on the 1850 Census in Abbeville, SC also noted as a deaf mute. This Marshall Johnson was listed in the same area as a John B. Johnson age 44 born in SC with wife Euphemia. Amongst children listed was a John W. Johnson age 14 born in SC-we bellieve this 14 year old boy of John B. Johnson was my husbands great grandfather. John B. died between 1860-1870. Is anyone researching this particular family-We are at a dead end in tracing this family. Any help will be appreciated.
