Just a few more Tidbits on this Area, Washington County NC and Washington Co. Va. both claimed this area as being parts of their State. You can find deeds in these areas. My interest in the time of 1783-1800 was Hudson Johnson-Johnston on of the Founders of Rogersville This area was also claimed by the State Of Jefferson, whose files are in Wisconson State. It seems a visting Proffesor who was working on the Lost State of Jefferson was given permission to remove files. So he took them back and never returned them. Notes Lee County Va was also part of Washington Co. Va at one time and is a border county. Tony
