    3. Okay, here's something I got off the Internet, but maybe you haven't ever seen it. This is called "Lunenburg County, Virginia Publick Claims 1780-1784. I'm just going to give you the names of any Johnson's I see on there. "At a court held for Lunenburg County the 15th day of March 1782 agreeable to an act for adjusting claims for property impressed or taken for public use." Page 3 Isaac Johnson 77# bacon Page 15 Isaac Johnson for 325# beef David Johnson for 250# beef Missing Page 13 Isaac Johnson for furnishing Continental soldiers 40 diets Page 26 And at a Court held for the said county 9th May following David Johnson for same (and I'm assuming they meant for the same thing that was given before that which was "a gun for use of militia ordered to assistance of Gen. Green" Next was the following: "1769 A List of Tithes taken in Cumberland Parish, Lunenburg County, June 10, 1769 by Everard Dowsing, Gent" Tithes Land Michael Johnson 1 Tithe 270 Next was the following: "1769 List of Tithables, &c, taken by Charles Hamlin, Gent., for the year 1769" William Johnson 1 Tithe 258 Next was the following: "1769 Lunenburg County - A List of Tithes, &c, taken by Joseph Williams" Joseph Johnson 3 Tithes 200 Isaac Johnson's List Michael Johnson 5 Tithes 600 David Johnson 1 Tithe 100 "List of Tithes and Land taken by Thomas Winn - 1769" (page 280) Andrew Johnston John Patterson Wm. Hatchett Christopher McConnico 6 Tithes 632 James Johnson 3 Tithes 100 That was all the Johnson's mentioned. Of course, there were lots of other names.
