I don't see it immediately. It was about a family that descended from Thomas Jefferson and moved to that county long about 1805. Then that James Johnson moved to Christian Co, KY as sheriff by 1808 or 1809. I saw in some records that late in 1810 he married and became a Methodist circuit rider giving up law enforcement. He was mentioned in court and county government records often, primarily wanting a jail that would actually hold prisoners. He should have also been mentioned in the book series by Sweet on Religion on the Frontier.     3. My "Sinking Fork" John Johnson is in Christian County, KY just prior to 1808, but I don't know about this James. I will post more later.
