I probably shouldn't say anything because this is not my family and I have no information directly related to this family. But maybe a thought along a general line as to age of childbearing in early America. As an example for this family the birth years for John, Arthur, and Andrew are probably in all cases highly unlikely to allow Margaret to have borne them as her children. She would have been about 12 when Andrew was borne. However, based on my own family, having a child at 16 was not all that unusual. I have at least two female ancestors who had their first child by 16 (both were married at 14). So based just on that, It could be possible for Margaret to have borne Jane, Sarah, and Mary. Just food for thought. Where documentation of marriage date is not available, in this early time we should not auto automatically assume the age at which a woman could have borne her first child as being closer to what we consider a proper age (eg 17,18 or 19). "And the same people list Margaret Phares as being born to John Phares II in 1736. This keeps her from being the Mom of all but the baby born to her after Arthur Sr. died. Her name was Margaret. A researcher some time back on the Johnson line in general said Arthur Sr was married at least twice before he married Margaret Phares. Research done on Arthur Jr says he was born "east of Va". He was b in 1747. If anyone knows Arthur Jr's mom please let us know. And if it isn't too much trouble and you have a web page please remove Margaret Phares as mom to the kids. John 1745 Arthur 1747 Andrew 1748 Jane 1752 Sarah 1753 Mary 1755" Thanks so much for letting me vent................
