On 1880 census for Polk Co., AR, I found my first link to the past, even though the name has been transcribed incorrectly. They spelled it Johnsen instead of Johnson. John Johnson, abt 1827, [he puts AR, but the two children I have info for both put him down as from TN] John also states on census that his folks were from MD and KY. with Louisa, abt 1833 John J. is not listed here, but did raise his family there in Polk Co., AR. Nellie M. - married William Augustus Gladen Foster Tony "Bob" - married Mary [Marie] Hodgkiss died with TB in sanitarium Grover Cleveland - married Dora Elizabeth Joplin, Laura Gertrude Hickman Ruthie - died less than 10 years old Mattie - dob 1900 and still at home in 1930 Walter C. - had a daughter named Moy - died with TB in sanitarium Mary Elizabeth - married John M. N. Cecil William - Simeon - married H. C. Martin in Polk Co., AR, 1891 Lucy Belle - married Nathaniel Ethan Wilkins in Polk Co, AR, 1886 Frances M. - ? Mary Elizabeth - ? Byrd Robert - married Dorie ? Carmon Ann - married Jessie Troman Johnson [yes, they were first cousins] Pearl Lee - ? Floyd D. - ? Claud - ? Earl - ?
