My Johnston family goes back to John Johnston Sr of Washington Co, AL. He was born abt. 1750 probably in GA and died in 1820 in Washington Co, AL. His will is listed in Mobile, AL. Some of his descendants in OK that descend from his son John (Called Col. John by most to distinguish between many Johns) go by JOHNSON. I descend down through his grandson John L. Johnston who came to Texas about 1840. My main brick wall is John Sr. father. Thought to be William Johnston who came to the colonies about 1840. He (according to accounts left by 2 of his grandchildren) married Honor Killingsworth. He landed at St. Mary's, GA. and married there and had several children .. the names of these children I have not proven.. but were supposed to be John, James, Isaac, Joseph, and possibly Daniel or David..
