Again Ann Many Thanks The Jefferson families are also the families of The First RANDOLPH FAMILIES of Colonial Virginia President Thomas Jefferson was raised on Tuckahoe Creek in the home of his RANDOLPH families. My Matching DNA is of Michael Johnson who died 1718-1719 on Tuckahoe Creek Henrico Co. Va. The Tuckahoe Creek is a connected water way to Byrd Creek, Deep Creek, and a few others were we find several families of Humphreys and Dickson Co. Tn. See my files of Byrd Creek and Neighbors of Michael Johnson also Henrico Co. File, Goochland Co. Files, Fluvanna Co. Files., Louisa Co. Files, and Amherst Co. files as Tuckahoe Creek is found in all these counties after they form from Henrico Co. The Randolph families have been intermarrying with the De Bohun; Boone families of Humphreys Co. since 1100 AD (See McElya's of Orange County married to Sarah Boone). The Randolph families are also the lines of General James randolph Robertson owner of the Iron Works on Bartons Creek where Hudson Johnson was at. General James randolph Robertson his families are in the Church of reverend St. John Shropshire the forre father of Joel Shrophire of Dickson Co. Tn and the Shropshires of Humphreys Co. Tn: See Trave Pattern report on General James Randolph Robertson. of note is Brigadier James Randolph Robertson was given his commisson by General George Washington whose wife is Martha Dandrigeg first married to a Custis whose brother in England is a Curtis. Her cousin is also married to Patrick Henry "The Great Orator" The De Bohun lines are also intermarried into the Plantagenet lines which are the De Montague lines. The Phippen are also known as Flippens which are outlined in my Humphreys Co. Files. Samier Shopshire left Rockingham Co, NC in 1785 and moved back to Virginia Settling on The Rockfish River Amherst Co Va. this land goes into Nelson Co. which forms from Amherst Co. by other families connected to Humphreys Co. Tn. (Turner, Henleys Mayo, Matlocks) In Rockingham County he was neighbors to Gideon Johnston ( whose off Spring will be found in Williamson Co.
