    3. Dee .... not all of us have the luxury of time to do these things. I have many other things going on in my life in addition to genealogy...and many other surnames as well. If they all hit me with 68 emails one morning, It would be over whelming. I still don't know why it is asking too much to put some identifying name/state, etc. in the subject line. That is what I was taught to do from the beginning. Sheridan WolfWalker <realduesouth@yahoo.com> wrote: Sorry to hear you delete without looking. There are more than one way for you to check the info coming in. Go to the egroups page and click on Digest. Go to the egroups page and read them all at once. I treat each email that comes thru as a gift and not an attempt to make my day harder in trying to eek out info that will help me in my search. 3. Hello Sheridan and Listers: Luxury? Genealogy IS a luxury! as far as my time is concerned. And being listed as a "digest" subber is NOT an alternative for me either. I will look at "Today's Topic" and see "[JOHNSON] (subject)"(20+ times) and there you have it - DELETE once - because I do not have the luxury to check if every one of those posts are even different or may be of interest to me (usually they're duplicates from a newbie or someone on holiday/vacation). I can see where "digest" would be idea, but not when I'm afforded NO luxury. And having to check all the "Tony" posts is NOT a luxury as far as I'm concerned. But I'll be d%&*#@! if I'm gonna open every "Tony" post because he chooses not to fill in the Subject line. "(delete) I do not post to the Johnson web site any more due to a few constant complainers." --"Tony Johnson" <tonyempireore@msn.com> - hum, I'll have to investigate further or like his Subject lines he is unwilling to disclose the matter any further? "Get A Grip People." You are telling me it is okay for "Tony" to have a blank Subject line but not a good idea if I should leave the Subject line blank? If "Tony" is willing/able/volunteering to post JOHNSON info(20+ times) then he most assuredly can fill in a Subject line however many times to get JOHNSON researcher's undivided attention. A Subject line can be names of whatever is the topic of the Body of Message. Whereas the Body of Message can be one, two, or more sentences - am I the only blind lister of the JOHNSON list? What is wrong with this picture? .... This does not sit well with me as I've only subbed recently, but I will be un-subbing soon. Good luck Sheridan, Pam, and all sympathizers of the JOHNSON list. .... 3. Well, some folks would kick if hung with a new rope. I'm not sure why someone would grip about Johnson info being posted to a Johnson list. I think replies to the topic were aimed at being helpful to the complainers and the complaints aren't all that valid. Don't read em and let the rest of us enjoy them! as far as luxery for me? not really. my time is divided with a 90 min drive to Children's Hospital, finding a parking spot, unloading a child, getting him into treatment, reloading him for the 90 min trip to my work where I put in 40 hours a week while taking care of him in between. Then I've got the regular everyday stuff like cooking, cleaning and helping with home work. Please don't assume anything for me. Tony -- keep em coming. I haven't found my elusive Kingberry Johnson from NC yet but love the hunt. Dee Johnson
