Thanks Michael, It does help. How "close" to a direct Johnson line do you have to be to get a good 'result'? My dad is the grandson to the Johnson line I posted earlier (James Samuel/Nancy Worth(y)) I "might" be able to convince him to do this. I can't find my ancestor's past Okla., so anything might help LOL Alli :) ----- Original Message ----- From: "D Michael Johnson" <breadman4@verizon.net> >A number of the descendants of Michael Johnson (d1718) and related families > have been DNA tested (Y-DNA). Olen Lee Johnson ha inherited the Johnson-Johnston DNA project from the Late Harold Johnson of Maryland. You might want to contact him. I have added him to this reply. ----- Original Message ----- From: Alli<mailto:iamcheroke@filertel.com> To: johnson@rootsweb.com<mailto:johnson@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, October 06, 2007 8:19 PM Subject: Re: [JOHNSON] Searching for: Ancestors of James Johnson (d1810,Tenn) and wife Charity--Question Thanks Michael, It does help. Thank you Tony, Olen (I had an Uncle with your name but he spelled it Olin (lee Abram) anyway, Tony had mentioned some about how he was able to eliminate a line due to the DNA project. So I was wondering how distance can a person be? He also mentioned it had to be a male that did it. The reason I'm wondering is because my dad's mom was a Johnson, we might have a couple close connections, but I doubt strongly they'd be willing to do this.....they don't seem to want to open up any closet's with the skeleton's in it. :) Thanks for any help Alli :) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tony Johnson" <tonyempireore@msn.com> To: "Olen Lee "DNA COUSIN" Johnson" <sctsmn@charter.net>; <johnson@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, October 08, 2007 2:15 PM Subject: Re: [JOHNSON] Searching for: Ancestors of James Johnson (d1810,Tenn) and wife Charity--Question > Olen Lee Johnson ha inherited the Johnson-Johnston DNA project from the > Late Harold Johnson of Maryland.
