My Levi dates back to mid to late 1700's. I am aware of the Levi you mentioned and have researched this avenue, I did not mention it as I was not wanting to give you information overload on my first message.. Tarleton Johnson also had a brother named Levi Johnson. Mike on an earlier message mentioned our descendants attending the same church, both Levi, Sr and Levi, Jr. attended the same church early on and then if I remember correctly left the church...I would assume to either move to another area or to another church. I believe I also tracked my Levi Johnson, Jr to Randolph county area....I will need to do some digging in my files to come up with the information. How again are you connected into this group? Believe me this group is very hard to trace and it does not seem anyone has been able to do it yet. I did find someone in Randolph county that also has a connection into levi Johnson, but I have not been able to find anyone today that is surviving to talk with yet. I will be in touch with some additional information Janie > From: Lt28Ret@aol.com> Date: Wed, 17 Oct 2007 11:11:38 -0400> To: johnson@rootsweb.com> Subject: Re: [JOHNSON] John Johnson Family - Pennsylvania to North Carolina, mid 1700s> > This past week I saw some info on a Levi Johnson in Surry Co., NC can't > remember what it was. might try ancestry.com in Surry Co.,nc> there was also a Levi Johnson m.
