I appreciate all of the hard work that Tony has done to get this information out to us. I do not save the emails since I can go to the archives and read them again later. I suggest that some of the folks that are complaining are either too new to grasp what a gift it is to get this information or just cranky. From someone who has been searching for a long time, I have read lots of items that do not pertain to me in the hope that there is a clue that will help. You never know where that clue will come from. Spend some time to learn how to use the mailing lists and stop complaining about someone who is actually doing something to help. My heartfelt agreement! You never know what scrap will be the hook for information. One other suggestion to those who are unhappy with all of the helpful info. info. from Tony.......block him from going into your inbox. Then you won't ever have to worry about seeing his message.....that'd probably even work for those on digest, I haven't tried it. Yes, maybe in the future Tony could add the surnames to the subject line, but in the mean time.......I am thankful that he's taken the time to post all of the info. he has. I started transcribing info. for another area of genealogy I do, but seeing all of the ungrateful people posting complaints on this list (instead of directing to the listowner) & not seeing them even post their own "lost" ancestor. Does not encourage me to share anything I transcribe......course it wouldn't be for here, so we'll see how others are. :) But in the mean time.......I'm blocking all of the complainers, as I don't have time to open blank subject lines or complaints....won't help me find my lost Johnson's any faster :) Alli ----- Original Message ----- From: <Leader745@aol.com> To: <JOHNSON@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, October 06, 2007 10:25 AM Subject: [JOHNSON] Thanks Tony >I appreciate all of the hard work that Tony has done to get this >information > out to us. Hey Tony, I haven't been working on my genie stuff for the summer, but winter will soon be upon us and I wanted to say THANKS for all of your hard work (I saved all posting so I can go through them later). I would never be able to accumulate that info. Thanks again, Connie Great-great granddaughter of Joel Jefferson Johnson (1808-1884 Bladen/Sampson Counties, North Carolina) -----Original Message----- From: johnson-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:johnson-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Alli Sent: Saturday, October 06, 2007 11:53 AM To: johnson@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [JOHNSON] Thanks Tony--another suggestion One other suggestion to those who are unhappy with all of the helpful info. info. from Tony.......block him from going into your inbox.
