    3. Tony, If you have finished all your revolutionary war Johnsons in Virginia and N.C., perhaps you can help me. Per the book, "Pebble Hill, the Story of a Plantation", my James Johnson, b.1753, was "a captain in a rev war company from Lunenbourg county". "His first wife, Elizabeth, died at birth of first child and she and child are buried in Virginia." His second wife was Martha Summerlin Colson and their first child Barbara Johnson m. Richard Thomas, who came from Union Co., SC. 1850 census record states Barbara was born in S. Carolina about 1788. Son, Thomas Jefferson Johnson was born 1/17/1793. Then all moved to Georgia. When I sent in the above requested record on James Johnson (captain, Lunenburg), DAR told me I have the wrong James Johnson. There are several James Johnsons who served in the Revolution and I am nowhere near Virginia to search for which James Johnson had a wife, Eliz, and moved to S.C. I have emailed, called and written the author of the book to ask for ! his sources for the Rev. war service, but received no reply. Any possibilities?
