Hi everyone, I have been looking for info on a John Johnson living in Smyth Co. Va. according to the 1860 census with my 3rd Great Grandfather James C. Smith. I was wondering what his connection was, He may have been married to a Smith, possibly James's sister or possibly to James's wife Lethe's sister who were Browns. They were all from North Carolina, James and Lethe were married in Guilford Co. N.C. 6-5-1827, anyone have any clues?. I do have Johnson's on my Mothers side, they were in Eastern Ky., before that they were suppose to be from North Carolina, My Great Grandmother was Mary Lou Johnson who married a Perry..........Bob Smith

I have Johnson/Johnston married to Perry's from Kentucky. Do you have lineage in Kentucky?
