Hi Barbara, As far as I know my Smith side did not go to Kentucky. The only family from Kentucky was on my Mothers side. They were Perry's, Isoms, and Johnsons( not the same John Johnston that I posted about) Her Johnsons came from N.C. to Kentucky.......Bob Smith ----- Original Message ----- From: "barbara hall" <ztbjhall@utionline.net> To: <johnson@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, February 21, 2008 4:33 PM Subject: Re: [JOHNSON] John Johnston/Va. 1860 > Did any of your family come to Kentucky???? > > Barbara J Hall > > -----Original Message----- > From: johnson-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:johnson-bounces@rootsweb.com] > On > Behalf Of Bob Smith > Sent: Wednesday, February 20, 2008 12:26 PM > To: JOHNSON@rootsweb.com > Subject: [JOHNSON] John Johnston/Va. 1860 > > Hi everyone, I have a John Johnston listed in the household of my 3rd > Great > Grandfather. > This is from the 1860 Smyth County Virginia census; > James C. Its possible they were in Logan Co (based on tax records, without deeds) from 1799 to 1806 and got to Christian Co in 1806. They were in Missouri by 1812. My gggp Noble Johnson said he was born in SC in one census, NC in another and was missed in the last one before he died. I still have Johnson relations in SE Missouri. The children of David and Margaret included Noble, Jonathan, Davis, William, Ransom, Constant, Sarah, and Willy Elmy. Gerald J.
