I am interested in finding Peter Johnson and his wife Harriet after 1880. They married in 1880 in Hamilton County Texas. I have had a hard time finding them after that date. I know nothing about Peter, but Harriet was originally Harriet Cole and married Levi (Leroy) Davis in 1859 Angelina County Texas. Although Levi is not on the casualty list for his outfit in the civil war, she is a widow with one child after the war. In 1880 she is found on the census alone and her son is living with someone else. I also found a marriage license for her and Peter Johnson in Hamilton, but have not been able to find anymore. Would like to know if they had children, or where they are buried, or even just where they lived after the marriage. I found a Peter Johnson on Ancestry.com that said that he lived in Comanche county. I have been unable to prove that. Harriet's father was killed in Comanche County in 1875. Comanche County adjoins Hamilton County, Texas. Any help would be appreciated. Linda Bowden
