His first wife was Hester B Johnson, daughter of Charles Frederick Johnson, b: 17 June 1787 in New Providence, Union, New Jersey, d: Bef 8 August 1849 in Shelby Co, Indiana and Elizabeth Trimble, b: Abt 1792 in Virginia m: 1811 d: Bef 8 August 1849 in Shelby Co, Indiana Hester B. Johnson was born b: 1812 in Warren Co, Ohio, d: 15 April 1871 in Missouri. David William Johnson and Hester B Johnson were married 5 September 1832 in Shelby Co, Indiana.
