Trying to confirm or put to rest a family story re: Cherokee blood in Johnson side of my family, my mother is a Johnson. Aquilla was born 5/4/1770 in Spotsylvania Co. VA.d. 2/23/1850, Bledsoe co., TN. m. Mary Scarborough b. 5/15/1781 in unknown, d.6/11/1846, Bledsoe Co., TN. They had 11 children. I am thru Francis Asbury, b.1/20/1818 d. 11/6/1879 all Bledsoe Co. TN. married Drucilla Payne, b. 11/16/1821 inn Bath VA., d. 5/21/1883 in unknown. Any info on these ancestors would be much appreciated, particularly Native American status. Thanks in advance.
