JOHNSON, died yesterday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Robt. FORD in Ross Township (Greene County, Ohio), with whom he had made his home for several weeks. The deceased would have been 90 years of age if he had lived until October, having been born in 1816. The place of his birth was Hamilton county, his parents, James and Hannah Johnson having moved there from Virginia. His father James JOHNSON was a Methodist minister and at the early day of his labors was frequently moved from place to place by his conference. Rev. Johnson's labor in the Baptist ministry covered a wide field, being ordained in Richland, County, and this worthy couple raised a family of ten children, several of whom are living. One son sacrificed his life to his country in the Civil War.
