I am looking for the Johnson family of my paternal grandmother. My father's mother, Gurthey Elizabeth Johnson, died in Imperial Co. CA in Oct. 1918. On her death certificate, her father's name was listed as C.B. Johnson and she was shown as born in Arkansas, March 1894. Other family members suggest her birthdate as 1890. Gurthey is said to have had at least one brother, named Forrest Johnson. She and my grandfather, John Timothy Ingram, married in Elk City, OK in 1907. I do not know where they met. He was living in Drumwright, OK shortly before their marriage. After marriage, they lived in Eastland Cty, TX before moving to Imperial, CA c.1918. (John Ingram's parents were from Van Buren Cty, Arkansas.) So, I'm looking for the family of C.B. (or C.P.) Johnson and his two known children, Gurthey Elizabeth and Forrest - who may all have been living somewhere in Arkansas c1890-94. Tommy Ingram Austin, TX hmp@texas.net
