HALL age 17, white, single, born Salem, VA, resided Petersburg, VA, parents Jas. & Mary HALL Ellen was John's 2nd wife, his 1st wife was Martha A WELLS. Children of Ellen Eliza HALL & John Walter Royal JOHNSON: Justin Eaton JOHNSON b 1878? Know nothing about him. Alice Dewey JOHNSON b 12 January 1879-80 in Petersburg, VA Never married. My G-GF John Walter Royal JOHNSON died 8 February 1908 in Richmond, VA. The family story is that while running in the rain to catch a street car, he slipped and fell (he might have been hit by the street car), and died soon after (hours, days, weeks?). I mention this because if he was hit by a street car, then maybe there is a story in a newspaper about the accident. I haven't found one. As you can see my info only goes back to the mid 1800's.
