On her death certificate, my paternal grandmother, Gerthie Elizabeth Johnson, was shown born March 1894 in Arkansas. Her father was listed as C.B. Johnson. No mother's name was listed. Gerthey died in 1918 in Imperial, CA. My grandfather, John Timothy "Tim" Ingram, was from Eastland Cty, TX. Although I know my grandparents were married in 1907 in Elk City, OK, I know nothing about her family or where her family lived. She was said to have had a brother named Forrest Johnson. So, I could be looking for Johnsons in Arkansas, 1890's, perhaps in Texas or Oklahoma in early 1900's, or even in California before 1920. Father: C.B.
