Atlas (as he was known)born ca 1824 in NC, died Oct. 1862 in Carroll Co., Ms. He married Mariah Louisa Woods, daughter of Andrew Woods and Hulda Caperton on 13 April 1852 in Carroll Co., MS. 3. Levania Johnson, born ca. 1831 in N.C. Issue of James Atlas Johnson and Mariah Louisa Woods: 1. Wm. Thomas Johnson b. 1853, Carroll Co., MS. 2.
