My grandmother was AMANDA LaRENNA JOHNSON and was born Dec-12-1874 at Abanda, AL. Her mother and father were killed in a buggy accident about 1884-1890. I believe that her fathers name was WILLIAM JOHNSON, but have no proof. The accident occurred in Chambers or Randolph County, Alabama. Amanda or "Rena" as she was called was brought up from about 10 years of age by an Uncle Lee Johnson or Silas Johnson. Part of her upbringing was in the two above counties. The Johnson family later moved to Cordele, Georgia (central georgia). Amanda was the oldest of three girls one of which was named LULA.
