My great grandmother's name was Clara Hazel "Peggy" Johnson. She was born 18 Jun 1896 in the Detroit Lakes, MN area. Her parents were Fredrick "Freddie" Albert Johnson and Fanny "Fan" Viola Courtright. Freddie was born 17 Apr 1874 in Dunnville, Ontario, Canada. Freddie's parents were Henry Richard Johnson and Clara Hazel Swarts. Her maiden name or name from her first marriage was Beatty or Beattie. Henry was born about 1848, Clara about 1852, both of Dunnville, Ontario, Canada. Henry and Clara had 4 children. One, Henry William, fell of a church roof, the land for the church was donated by Henry. Another son, George, died as a child. And then other than Freddie and the other two boys, they had a daughter, Ella Josephine.
