Hi, Can anyone on the list help me with this question ? I have been trying to find info GG-grandfather and gg-grandmother`s family. In 1850 they were in Johnston Co., N.C. John Johnson was 23, Smithy his wife was 24 and they had tow childern. one was Jasper abt.1845, then a sister Burline. Why is it that I can`t seem to find the Mother`s name on anything , On the records I have checked the Mother names in them. I found were Burline Johnson got married in 1864 to a Thomas Womble ,her mother name wasnq`t on thr reconds, same way with birth records. Can anyone tell me why Smithy`s names are not in these records. All things in N.C., Johnston, Cumberland, Wake and Harnett Co`s. Any help will be greatily appreciated, Thanks. James L.
