His parents were William Kinney Johnson (1851-1931) and Frankie Louise Hughes. Wesley Sr. JOHNSON (b possibly 1800) married Kathryn Franklin. This couple moved from western NC (Mitchell orAvery Co.) to CO and became Mormons. They never returned to NC. Wesley Eugene Johnson (b possibly 1890's) married Pat (last name unknown).
