I don't really have a brick wall just a broken link in a long chain. My family history was done some time ago by a distant cousin, now deceased. I have the results of his work but am unable to prove a link. The link between my great grandmother, Mattie B. Johnson and her parents cannot be proven. I have the ancestors of Jesse B. Johnson (my great great grand father) and am certain that it is correct. The line is as follows: 1. Jesse B. Johnson, b. 1/6/1806, d. 9/12/1881, m. Mary Ann Pounds, b. 9/8/1816 in Chatham, NC d. 4/16/1881 in IN. (Monrovia, Morgan Co.) 2. Mattie (Martha) B. Johnson, b. 12/15/1853, IN, d. 6/24/1930 (?) m. John Robert Fletcher I have tried to find a death certificate of hers, should be easy right, no. Not in Illinois, where she lived nor Indiana or Michigan where her two daughters lived. None of her living relatives know where she died. If any one has any information on Jesse B. and Mary Ann and their family I would appreciate a little help. John Perkins Central Coast of California
