    3. Just want to share this with the list. Arthur Johnson was a member of the militia force of Virginia which took part in the Battle of Point Pleasant in Lord Dinsmore's War on the Kanawa River in 1774 under General Andrew Lewis. He also served at least one year in the American Revolution and may have been a member of Captain Cresaps Co that marched from Frederick, Maryland to Boston. He was also in the battle of Bunker hill and family history says he took his own brother's gun from him. Brother was John. Arthur died in Edgar Co Illinois in 1823. From a ledger in the grocery store of John Strange Johnson, his grandson, son of Issac Johnson, written in his hand was this information "Grandfather Arthur Johnson had a brother named Andrew" The Records of this family of Arthur and Elizabeth Harrison Johnson were numbered: Samuel William Reuben David Margaret Benjamin Mary Aaron Issac I am a descendent of Benjamin and have more information on most of the children. My obsession is finding out where Arthur Johnson and wife Elizabeth Harrison were born. Arthur's father arrived in Augusta Co VA in 1748/9 but Arthur was b in 1747. I hope this helps someone Reba Johnson Gale
