I am looking for more info. on my Dbl. great grandparents & their kids. James Samuel Johnson no info. m. Nancy Worth(y) no info. (these names were given to my dad my his grandma) Children: James Jefferson Johnson b. 9 Mar. 1865 Tipton, Moniteau Co., Mo. d. 13 Feb. 1943 Chelsea, Okla. m. 1) Georgia A. had 2 kids possibly a boy/girl divorced in 1898 Pawhuska/Kaw Res., Okla. m. 2) Martha Jane Phariss on July 21, 1899 Pryor, Okla. had 11 kids & 1 Foster son (Martha passed on James' parents names) (Looking for more info. about Georgia & her 2 kids & descendants Cotton Johnson one of James' boys from 2nd marriage had been in touch with one of them years ago before his death, don't know anymore) William Ballard Johnson b. 18 Oct. 1870 Illinois d. 15 July 1957 unknown were. Haven't found William in Illinois in the 1875 Census & don't know where to look for his death. I have found that Ballard is also a surname, so I am looking to find out if maybe his mom Nancy might have some connection to that name. But these are my very stuck hard to find brick wall family. Except for J. J. as he is my great grandfather & I have a lot of info. about him, & his second wife & their family. His first wife is a big mystery. The only clue about her that I have was that she was supposedly a mean woman & had (according to the divorce papers) abandoned him for 3 mos. before he filed divorce papers. (Her personality was passed down from my great Uncle to at least his daughter) But I know nothing else. Their area appears to be Mo. & Okla. & Maybe (but doubtful) Illinois.
