Still looking for Atlas James Johnson and his wife Mariah Louisa Woods. Atlas was the son of John and Mary Johnson of NC and MS. He had two sisters: Mary Ann Johnson who married John D. Crain and Lavina Johnson. Atlas was born in NC ca. 1824 and died in Carroll Co., MS. Oct. 1862. His wife Mariah Louisa Woods, born ca. 1836 in Ms. was the daughter of Hulda Caperton and Andrew Woods. Moriah died after 1886 in MS. Atlas and Moriah had the following issue: 1. Wm. Thos. Johnson 2. Andy Woods Johnson 3. Jas. Edgar Johnson 4. Peter Isaac Johnson 5. Huldah Ann Johnson 6.
