I am interested in corresponding with any Johnson or Johnston who were originally from the Berks and Lancaster county, PA area before 1860. I am interested in any Johnson or Johnston family who have a form of muscular dystrophy running through their line. This type is handed down from parent to child. It usually manifests itself when a person is in the late 30's and by the late 50's the person passes away.
