> To any other east coasters: My Hiram Johnson who was born in Ohio supposedly had parents who moved there in the early 1800's (by 1822 for sure since that is when Hiram was born) from what a relative described as "back east somewhere". This g-g-aunt goes on that she thought his parents' names were Henry Johnson and Catherine Perry. Census records have Hiram saying his parents were from NY. They were blacksmiths or iron workers. Anything sound familiar to those of you with NY connections? Nancy Johnstone Ratay Denver, CO nratay@ng-tek.com
