Hello, Johnson list, I am searching for information about a Johnson family in Maryland. Thomas JOHNSON m. Ellen NEALE in MD about 1808. Children (there may be more): Robert Green JOHNSON, b. Jan. 7, 1813, in MD. Henry Neale JOHNSON, b. abt. Apr. 15, 1809 in MD, m. Martha Ann WILSON. Henry d. Feb., 1885, and is buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Washington, D. C. Martha d. Oct., 1877, and is also buried at Oak Hill. Children of Henry Neale JOHNSON and Martha Ann WILSON are: Indiana JOHNSON, b. abt. 1836, m. Samuel TURNER, d. Feb. 1865, b. Oak Hill Inez JOHNSON, b. abt. Oct. 21, 1848, d. July, 1883, b. Oak Hill Hector JOHNSON (?) Henry Clayton JOHNSON, b. abt. Jan 8, 1840, m. Mary BREMER. Henry Clayton JOHNSON d. Oct., 1879, b. Oak Hill. Mary BREMER Johnson d. Jan., 1926, in Baltimore; b. Oak Hill. Children of Henry Clayton JOHNSON and Mary BREMER are Samuel Turner JOHNSON (m. Alice McARTHUR), Inez JOHNSON (m. Arthur NORTON), Charles Albert JOHNSON, and Henry Wilson JOHNSON, b. 1876 in Olney, Montgomery County, MD, d. 1951, m. Mary Lasky WANSTALL (d. July 30, 1936). Henry Wilson JOHNSON is my grandfather. After his father, Henry Clayton Johnson's, early death, the family apparently moved to Washington D. C. However, my grandfather was born in Maryland, and the family seems to have had roots there. If anyone has information on any of these JOHNSONs or related families, especially on my earliest identified ancestor, Thomas JOHNSON, I would appreciate a lead or source.
