My gggrandfather was John Alexander Johnson, b. 8/19/1823 in Versailles, KY; m. Elizabeth Barbara DeSpada - 4/5/1856 in St. Louis, MO; d. 5/23/1901 in Hannibal, MO. According to John Alexander Johnson's obituary he was born in Versailles but was educated in Bourbon Cty, KY. He came to MO about 1845. The 1880 census indicates that both his parents were born in KY...I know nothing else about his parents or siblings, if any. Any and all connections would be most appreciated!
