Looking for information on Leander Johnson, b. 1834 in OH. Married Sarah Varney in 1865, Van Wert Co. OH and later married Elizabeth Harden Whitright in 1878 also in Van Wert Co. OH. Children with Sarah: John, Irvine, Roxana, Martha & Lafayette. Children with Elizabeth: Leota, Rosella, Sarah, Harley, Dora, Benjamin, William & Arthur. All born in Van Wert Co. OH. Leander d. 1907 in Adams Co. IN. I cannot find any information prior to 1865. His tombstone reads "A. L. Johnson". All records that I have list his name as Leander A. Johnson. Roxana b. 1840, married Harlow Richmond in Crawford OH in 1857 and moved to Van Wert OH in 1861 and then to Sacramento. Roxana is the only sibling I have knowledge of at this time. Hi, Can anyone on the list help me with this question ? I have been trying to find info GG-grandfather and gg-grandmother`s family. In 1850 they were in Johnston Co., N.C. John Johnson was 23, Smithy his wife was 24 and they had tow childern. one was Jasper abt.1845, then a sister Burline. Why is it that I can`t seem to find the Mother`s name on anything , On the records I have checked the Mother names in them. I found were Burline Johnson got married in 1864 to a Thomas Womble ,her mother name wasnq`t on thr reconds, same way with birth records.
