    1. [JOHNSON] Fw: [GAHOUSTO] Bible Record of Thomas A Johnson
    2. Gaila & Jim Merrington
    3. Hi there Jean was asking about this information, and as several people are interested I will send it to the list. Our Johnson group found this at the at the Washington Memorial Library. We are trying to determine if this Thomas A Johnson was a descendant of our John Johnson of Houston County. Some of the use of names for these families is so similiar, it leads us to believe in a connection but we haven't determined a relationship yet. I will just give the basics here and scan the document in and mail it to individuals. Just email me if you would like a copy. Thomas A Johnson b 4 Oct 1869 m Vicie Ann Doles on 2 May 1910. They are buried in Old Shiloh Methodist Church (now Peach County) Children of Thomas and Vicie Ann: 1. Zachariah Johnson b 14 Aug 1881 died 14 Oct 1882 bur Shiloh I hope this is helpful. If anyone knows the parents of Thomas A Johnson, please share with the list. Franklin is a name I see often in our Johnson line. Charles Franklin Johnson's childrens name and Edgar Johnson's childrens name are almost identical. Good luck, Gaila

    1. [JOHNSON] My Johnson's
    2. David Christopher
    3. I don't really have anything but a couple of names and a location with some times, but here goes. My Great-grandmother "Maggie May Johnson" born April 1880 SC? Died I think in 1947? She married a John Ponder, I show them in a 1900 Census for Abbeville, SC living together with 2 children "John W born March 1897" and "Sallie M. born Feb. 1898". It seems that living next door to them was Maggie's mother "Sallie Johnson born June 1842". According to the census, Maggie was Sallie's only child, and Sallie is living in the house as HEAD next door to Maggie and her family. It seems like Sallie was also known as "Sadie"? Anyway here is a rundown for any that might help: Sallie(Sadie) Johnson born June 1842, in 1900 living as a widow in Abbeville, SC Maggie May Johnson d/o Sallie born April 1880 in 1900 living in Abbeville, SC married to a John Ponder (he is 59 at time, she is 20) with 2 children, John W. 3 Yrs. old and Sallie M. 2 Yrs. old Sallie May d/o Maggie May is my grandmother and she died in 1975. So all you SC Johnson experts out there, do me a favor and see if you have any connections to help me find WHO my Sallie(Sadie) was married to? Thanks David Christopher

    3. This is an excellent site with this page written by George Bluejacket telling in his own word the fate of the Shawnee or the Shananoes. The links to the side will take you into many more events and documents of early Ohio and the Indians. http://www.ohiokids.org/ohc/history/h_indian/document/shawanoes2.html Does anyone know anything more about Col John Johnson or his brother Major Stephen Johnson? They played a major role with the Indians in Ohio and Indiana and westward as they were pushed out. The indians seemed to get along and there seemed to be a very fatherly role here. I was wondering if they were really Melengeon in descent and therefore more beneveloant. My grandmother 'who was stolen by the indians' Sally Thompson lived with them. Another Melungeon name. And another grandmother Emma Bell Johnson, who I can not trace yet has a disappearing history. Here is a bio from our local wesite if anyone is interested. He also lived in Carlisle PA http://tdn-net.com/genealogy/stories/biograph/2112.htm May as well add a kudos for our local site built with the aid af Joe Bosserman and many others. http://tdn-net.com/genealogy/miamico.htm If your ancestores traveled our way you may find something here. Thousands of names. Vivian

    3. Hello everyone, I am looking for anything on my Grandmother Emma Belle Johnson born possibly in Illinois about 1880. She had a sister named Della. The only clue that I have and I thought was unusual until I put the name into some of the search engine, is that she named my father's oldest brother David Orange. It appears that Orange is a very popular first name for Johnson.s. Can anyone tell me why? Vivian Markley

They had 4 children one of whom is me: Debra Kay (LE FEVRE) RIES (b: 31 January 1972) married 13 November 1992 to Joseph Dean RIES (b: 15 November 1966). There is a lot of information that I have but even more that I don't have. I lost my Uncle Paul (my father Glenn's only brother) in January of 2000 and just lost my GrandMother Carrie in March of 2000, so completing this family tree is very important to me. I am hoping within one of these lists I can find someone to help me fill in some blanks and maybe help someone else in return. This is a project I am hoping to have done by Christmas of this year. If you are able to help me in any way please email me. Thank you in advance for any help, and Healthy Hearts to all.
