HI everyone, Am hoping that someone on the list might be able to help. After 30 years of genealogy I know a lot about some of the folks in my famiy but I still do not know much at all about my 2nd great grandfather - Richard Johnson. Here is what I do know: Richard JOHNSTON b. abt 1794 in Georgia. Can be found in the 1850 census of Wayne Co., Missouri and the 1860 census of Reynolds Co., Missouri. He is listed as physician. I do not know who he married but apparently had at least 2 children - this info. is based on census records so I hope they are his children???? Leo Dicia Logan Johnston b. 1838 in Arkansas d. 1887 in Jack Co., Texas married James Newton Carnahan in Madison Co., Mo. in 1856 and William Johnston b. abt 1842 listed in the 1850 census of Wayne Co., Mo as age 7 and the 1860 census of Reynolds Co., Mo. By 1860 he is married to a Sarah ???? and they have 1 son. As you can tell -- I do not know a lot about Richard Johnston. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated -- Thanks so much -- Emma
Any assistance would be appreciated on locating information on my father who emigrated from Sweden to the U.S. in the early 1900's. He married and lived in New York City during the early 1930's while his parents resided in Dover (NJ/Delaware ???) during the same period.

I have found that Ballard is also a surname, so I am looking to find out if maybe his mom Nancy might have some connection to that name. But these are my very stuck hard to find brick wall family. Except for J. J. as he is my great grandfather & I have a lot of info. about him, & his second wife & their family. His first wife is a big mystery. The only clue about her that I have was that she was supposedly a mean woman & had (according to the divorce papers) abandoned him for 3 mos. before he filed divorce papers. (Her personality was passed down from my great Uncle to at least his daughter) But I know nothing else. Their area appears to be Mo. & Okla. & Maybe (but doubtful) Illinois.
