    1. [JOHNSON] Hawkins Co., TN Brickwall
    2. bgriffis
    3. Greetings, Malissa Jane Johnson married James W. Evans in Hawkins Co.,Tn in May 1861. Malissa was around 21 years old born in TN and James W. Evans was around 31 and born in VA. They were in Hawkins County, TN until the late 1800's. The next place I find them is in 1900 in Pineville, Bell Co., KY at age 70 and 60. Their youngest son Samuel Joseph Evans was living with them. Samuel married Fannie B. VanMeter in 1903 Pineville, KY. I lost them after 1900. How is that for a brickwall, pre-1860? post -?1900. I only know they had records from 1860 to 1900, 40 years out of? I would appreciate any clues. Thanks, Bruce

    1. [JOHNSON] Johnson Brick Wall
    2. Clarence Lott
    3. My brick wall relates to one Charles JOHNSON who was married to a Margaret COOPER. He is supposed to be from Virginia and would have been born in the time span of 1750-1790. He was one of the early preachers in the Primitive Baptist Faith and migrated to Indiana in the 1808-1812 timeline and his son George H. JOHNSON, also a preacher of the faith, settled in the eastern part of Indiana and subsequently in Fountain Co., IN. My wall amounts to finding where in Virginia that Charles JOHNSON and his wife Margaret hail from and more on their parents and siblings. 1. [JOHNSON] Johns(t)ons in PA
    2. Scott McNabb
    3. It has been a few weeks since I posted this, so I will try again. I am looking for any and all Henry Johns(t)ons in PA in the 1800's. I have a Henry Clay Johnson that I believe is the same Henry Johnston that is the son of Henry (b. 1800, d. ?)and Hester (b. 1803, d. ?) Johnston in the Schulykill County 1850 census (Henry Clay's CW enlistment papers indicate that he is from Schulykill County). I have information that the 1850 census indicates that both Henrys (father and son) were born in PA, as well as Hester, but I can not find any additional references in any other PA censuses. Henry Clay apparently had a twin? brother (James, yes another James Johns(t)on) born in 1845. A sister Catherine born PA in 1836 and a sister Sarah born in PA in 1840. Henry Clay Johns(t)on enlisted in the Ind. Cav. in Indianapolis, IN in 1862. Henry Clay Johns(t)on died and was buried in Allentown, PA. I know that he mustered out of the Cav. in Austin, TX in 1866 and somehow made his way back to PA to marry Amanda Elizabeth Woodring (b. April 23, 1843, d. August 6, 1882) in 1868. Anyone with PA or IN connections please let me know if you see any possible connections to my Johns(t)ons. Also if any Woodrings see a connection, any information is appreciated. Scott McNabb

    3. Hi all - I am looking for infomation on my husbands great grandparents. His ggrandfather is Liberty JOHNSON and ggrandmother is Mary HAMMACK or HAMMOCK. I know Liberty and Mary were in Grayson County Texas in 1888 since their daughter was born there that year. I don't think they stayed in Texas more than a couple of years though, and maybe even less than that. Liberty's brother is Garfield Johnson I think. Colorado maybe a couple of years and McLoud Oklahoma in 1908 where my husbands grandparents, Nora Ellen JOHNSON and Raymond Robert ASHFORD, got married. I have no other information on Liberty except that he died a lot sooner than Mary. The information I have on Mary HAMMACK is that she was born: 1866 and died in Los Angeles, California in 1960. I don't know how accurate the dates are either. I am stuck on this one. Mary and Liberty JOHNSON's children are: Nora Ellen, Jessie, Laura (Esther), Gilbert, and Lela. Any help would be appreciated.
