Need info on one ARTHUR LEROY JOHNSON aka LEROY JOHNSON aka ROY JOHNSON Born about 1912 or 13 known to have resided in McAlester Oklahoma and Okla City, Ok area in the 30's and 40's married DOROTHY MAY ROBERTSON 1931 divorced 1933 unknown if living or deceased I think he had sisters named ANNA and LENA unknown if they were 1/2 sisters mothers name was ANNA CRAFT or KRAFT fathers name unknown about all can tell you about my father is this His full name is Arthur LeRoy Johnson, According to the marriage license he was 21 yrs' old in 1931 if this is accurate he would have been born in 1910 (but on my birth certificate in 1932 it shows he was 20 yrs' old so I would say he was probably born in 1912) but I know for sure my mother lied about her age because it says she was 18 yrs' old in 1931 when in fact she was only 14 1/2 yrs' old But she says he was 4 or 5 years older than her so maybe he didn't have to lie about his age. When they met in McAlester Oklahoma (Pittsburg Co.) in 1930-31 he was living with his mother who had divorced his dad and had remarried a Henry Craft/ Kraft. I think his dad and two older sisters were living in Okla. City,OKla at this time. His Dad's name might possibly have been Ira and he remarried a woman whose name might have been Ezra This is what my mother thinks but she isn't sure. His Sisters names were Lena and Anna Johnson (Again I think) he also had an older Brother who was named Jack who died before he met my mother and I was supposedly named after him. I may have over looked them in the 1920 census but then again they may have moved to Oklahoma after the 1920 census. I have both the marriage license and the divorce papers but there is nothing of any value on them except that he signed the marriage app. as LeRoy Johnson which leads me to believe he may have used his middle name as a first name. they were married in OK City, OK on 10/13/1931 and divorced on Aug 27 1934 in Pittsburg Co. Okla. As you can see I don't have much to go on but if you can help I would be forever grateful. I hope you can make heads from tails of this but if there's any questions I will answer what I can. My oh my! Isn't it great to find fault. I believe Reba Gale meant: 1-Hannah Johnson 2-Parents: Daniel Johnson and Frances Kilbourne 3-Husband: Thomas Cresap Still searching for parents of Thomas Johnson-My ancestry starts, at this time, with Thomas Johnson, birth estimated variously from 1740 to 1750, and, his wife Sarah (Some say Greenfield), parents unknown. Thomas was said to come out of Pennsylvania when he was just a young boy. The first track we have of them was in Rowan County,NC. Then on to Long Island of the Holston in Tennessee, to Hawkins Co., TN, and into Knox and Floyd Co. Ky, into the part that later became Pike County Kentucky. Thomas and Sarah's Children were: Sarah,William Payne,Thomas,Patrick, Robert,Amy,Martha,John, Pascal,Benjamin, Jesse and Samuel. Any help will be gratefully appreciated. Will exchange info. Seeking information about Henry Wilson Johnson. He was probably born in MD between 1870-1880 and died in DC between 1940-1960. He married Mary Laskey Wanstall in DC, probably about 1905-1910. He was a dentist and lived in DC. He graduated from GW School of Dentistry. His mother was Mary Bremer and his father was ?? Johnson. He had brothers Charles and Samuel Johnson and a sister Inez Johnson. Charles was principal of Henry D. Cook school in DC. Samuel was an engraver for the Bureau of Printing and Engraving until he lost his eyesight. Inez married Albert Norton. Especially interested in obtaining info about his parents and more accurate dates for Henry. Thanks, Polly Zashin

Good Morning Everyone, I have not sent this out in a very, very long time. So... I am hoping that someone new might recognize these folks or that someone might have found some new information that might help. Richard Johnston had been a brick wall for me for over 20 years. I am about to become convinced that he was an alien dropped in the middle of SE Missouri by space ship from a far off planet. And.. that at death he simply vaporized. Am seeking information on the following: Richard JOHNSTON b. abt 1794 in Georgia. Can be found in the 1850 census of Wayne Co., Missouri and the 1860 census of Reynolds Co., Missouri. He is listed as physician. I do not know who he married but apparently had at least 2 children - this info. is based on census records so I hope they are his children???? Leo Dicia Logan Johnston b. 1838 in Arkansas d. 1887 in Jack Co., Texas married James Newton Carnahan in Madison Co., Mo. in 1856 and William Johnston b. abt 1842 listed in the 1850 census of Wayne Co., Mo as age 7 and the 1860 census of Reynolds Co., Mo. By 1860 he is married to a Sarah ???? and they have 1 son. As you can tell -- I do not know a lot about Richard Johnston. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated -- Thanks so much -- Emma
