By 1834 he was in what is now Texas. He is listed on the first census of Texas with his family. I am seeking to find the parents of David E. Johnson, born 1847. According to the 1900 census he was born in Pa. The census takers penmenship leaves uncertian as to his wifes name. Elmora or Elnora. They were married about 1873, making his wife a mere 13 years of age at the time. There first child was not born until 1878, to the best of my knowledge, therefore, it must have not been a shotgun wedding, or so I would hope. There were 8 more children that I know of, the last being born in 1899. The only one I know anything about at this time is my g-grandfather, John Henry. I'll send more through later. John
