Hi John: I find this interesting. In George Johnson's family there was a cousin Andrew and George's sons were Samuel and Charles. This is the family that was supposed to have gone from Ohio to Brookfield Mo. Same names usually means a connection someplace. Thanks for the information. Seeking any information on E. F. JOHNSON, age 45 b. AL who is listed on pg 53, Dwelling # 375 of the 1870 Grayson Co. census. (Prct. 1, P.O. Sherman). Wife is listed as Susan, age 50, b. AL. In this household is 13 year old Gracie E. Shankles, b. MO. The initials of E. F. on the above listed JOHNSON man are unclear on the original census. Can anybody out there identify this man. Hello there, I am wondering if someone out there might something about my Johnsons. My branch of the family, which comes through William D. Johnson and Lucy Ann McMillan, moved from Georgia and settled in Carroll County, MS in the early 1800's. From what I've heard, William's brother Jim had all of the family history on the Johnsons, but our branch lost touch with Jim Johnson's family sometime in the 1800's. I think my Johnsons emigrated from Scotland possibly sometime in the 1700's.
